Thread; The Invincible

Thread has been falling for almost a decade and has eaten away the light. Dragons and Riders have fallen in scores. It is a battle that Harpers dare not narrate. Everyone has lost someone dear to them, and now Dragons are the most endangered species on Pern. Thread had mutated, Dragon's flame is useless. Stone Depths is the refugees only hope.

A Weyr in Progress

Using the most advanced materials and architects, Stone Depths was built in just over nine Turns. Formed out of a rock face, Wher Eggs have been stolen and donated to the people of Stone Depths to help the process. Now, formed in a near-perfect circle, Stone Depths is a marvel of modern building. Its dome shape has a twelve-foot opening in the roof to allow light in, and can be closed with a metal sheet. That is Stone Depths' only pure light. The rest of the Weyr is covered in precious metal, glass and stone.
